With the next installment to the Call of Duty series approaching, that being “Black Ops 2,” many fans have been desperately awaiting news related to the implementation of the popular Zombie Mode. This past week at Gamescom, a lot of information was revealed about the multiplayer portion of Black Ops 2, but there was an absence of news related to the Zombie Mode. In light of this, we have discovered an interview that was conducted at Gamescom with Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia, about the use of Zombie Mode in Black Ops 2.

In the opening of the interview, Lamia confirmed that Treyarch would be conducting a complete unveiling of the Zombie Mode in the future, in addition to the information he gives in this interview. His states that Black Ops 2 Zombies will be bigger in every way. He states that the world will be bigger and there will be many new gameplay mechanics implemented within this mode. Treyarch wants to make sure that the base Zombie experience stays true to its nature, but there will be a lot more depth added to the game mode.

Lamia states that there will be much more that you can do with Black Ops 2 Zombies, “the strategies will blow your mind in this one.” In relation to the amount of players that will be involved with Black Ops 2 Zombies, he confirms that there will be an eight player zombie mode, but there will also be the original four player experience being implemented. The back story for the Zombie Mode will be greatly enhanced and provide much more content for players that wish to delve beneath the surface of the Zombies experience. As stated previously, Treyarch will be unveiling Zombies in a much more detailed way in the future.

In other Black Ops 2 news, we have also discovered, with the help of Reddit, a few screenshots that were taken at Gamescom this past week, of which showcases all of the score-streaks for Black Ops 2, as well as overhead views of the maps that were playable at Gamescom.
