Developer Mojang is reporting that Minecraft for Xbox 360 has sold over 3,000,000 copies since the game debuted on Xbox LIVE Arcade in May as part of the Arcade Next promotion. This news brings the total projected sales for Minecraft over 7,000,000 over all platforms in its lifetime and comes after the release of two new skin packs for the Xbox LIVE Arcade version--one skin pack contains many Xbox 360 themed characters and a random assortment of others for 160 Microsoft Points, while the other contains skins based on the Summer of Arcade titles for 2012 and can be downloaded for free.
